My Students

It's always a new day in First Grade! I am a first grade teacher, where the students are engaged in learning. We are a Title I school where more then half of our students are living at or below poverty level. We have PreK-2nd grade in our building.

Students in first grade are so willing and so eager to learn.

Hands on activities help engage students at this age. Once they are engaged, students are more likely to retain the information.

My Project

Our classroom can always use new and updated reading games. We are in need of games that can be played in small groups vs. games that are for individual play. These phonics and reading games come with enough game pieces to pull aside a few students and work on a skill to meet their needs.

Students like a good comfy place to read a good book.

That is why I am asking got for the tree flexible seating. They will work well for students during read to self time and an added bonus is they match our classroom camping theme.
