Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are an immersive classroom. We are learning Spanish and science using Spanish. We have a growth mindset, so we look forward to be challenged every single day.
We come from a variety of places and backgrounds!
The Caribbean, South America, Central America, Africa, and United States of America are all represented in our class. We are all eager to learn and be able to use Spanish (whether it is our first, second, or third language) with our family and community.
Our class is preparing arrows that will impact every place they go and visit. Our compromise with Spanish and our researching abilities will that us places!
My Project
Hello! This project will provide my students an opportunity to develop their reading and comprehension skills for the school year and for the rest of their lives. They will be reading age appropriate books that will get them evaluating different circumstances. This will get them excited about reading and learning an additional world language! Did you know that they're reading and comprehension level in one language is tied to another? I want our immersion class to give them that push towards growth and success. We want to have a classroom community that is full of conversations and laughter about the books we read. As our school mantra says, we will be "learning differently; growing together."
