My Students

My students need to see the examples of their good work displayed in the classroom. It would be much easier for us to display student work on a bulletin board. We also need a lot of repetition for them to digest the skills and practicing on a white board would be great.

I teach special education students.

They attend public high school. We are in an area in which about 50% of the children get free and reduced lunch. Many of my students live with family members who are not their birth parents. My students are full of life and have the ability to do something special in our world.

My Project

My students need a bulletin board and a white-board for the classroom to enhance the learning environment. I would love to be able to have my students walk in the door each day to see their good work proudly displayed on the board, and not stuck to the wall (where it often falls off). I would love to give my kids the opportunity for as much reinforcement of skills as possible. Adding a white board to the classroom will provide us with another tool to use while we are learning the skills needed to be successful.

It is important that my students get the practice of skills they need.

It is also essential that we build up their esteem as much as possible. Seeing the pride on their faces when they see their work displayed for all to see would be wonderful.
