This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are curious, fun, wonderful, and always eager to learn. I have 30 very diverse students who come to school everyday, ready to learn new things!

All of my students love to read and talk about the books they read!

They especially love books about fantasy that allow them to explore another world. For many of my students, the only access to books is through the school library or the classroom library. However, that doesn't stop them from reading!

My Project

These books will be an addition to my classroom library that my students will read on a daily basis. As a first year teacher, I am always gathering books for my sixth grade students. Many of my students rely on our classroom library for access to books.

My students are intrigued by fictional, especially fantasy books.

While my students do have access to these books at our school library, these books are shared by the entire school across grade levels and are not always available. I know that my students would love a set of these famous fantasy books for our classroom!
