This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My project for my classroom would be to bring space to the classroom. To launch this project, I would need a variety of rockets.

By providing this opportunity, students will remember their experience and launch an altitude of interest into science.

I would like to bring a variety of rockets to the launch pad. I use my background knowledge starting from the ground level and the science behind flight. I would implement reading using short stories and history to get a background for students. Then work up to the physics and science behind flight using simple science experiments that demonstrate the movement. Afterwards, I would conduct experimental stations for students to see every reaction and opposite reaction. Finally, I would have students develop a hypothesis as to how their rocket will be constructed and how it will fly. We will use time, distance, and formulas to help us learn about the history of rockets.
