I am a Kindergarten teacher in a public school on Staten Island. Our school is culturally mixed and 40% of our students receive free or reduced meals. We are an overcrowded grade, with seven K classes of 25 to 30 students. I'd love to have a laminating machine to keep in our classroom to help preserve student work, and to help make the classroom materials I make by hand more sturdy. Our class made several student-made books and they soon fell apart. Laminating each page would keep the metal rings we use for binding from ripping the paper. Lakeshore Learning has a laminating machine and laminating pouches in various sizes that would really be great additions to our classroom. Thank you for giving your attention to this proposal, and please carefully consider funding it. My students will benefit from such a versatile gift.
