My students need a Ladibug document camera so that they can easily see my STEM instruction and model their own STEM learning on a large 10 foot screen to make it come to life!
I teach a class of 28 amazing kindergartners who are eager to learn and deserve endless resources, experiences, and opportunities. They come from different backgrounds, have a wealth of experiences, and have a lot to contribute to our diverse learning community. They are eager for knowledge and engaging opportunities to learn.
I have a very diverse population at my school and in my classroom, with at least 50% learning English as their second language, and I teach at the most diverse school in the nation!
The children delight in activities that engage their minds and bodies, and they look forward to what each day of the exciting kindergarten world brings them! It is my job to inspire and motivate them in a variety of ways in which I reach the whole child.
My Project
The Ladibug would instantly increase student engagement, interaction, and motivation because they will be able to see the teacher and their peers model writing, reading, math, science, tech, and so much more through a lens that will project it all on our 10 foot screen for all to see. STEM activities including building, engineering, mathematics, science, and technology with our iPad apps can all be showcased on a large screen via Ladibug! It is hard for the children to see me and their peers modeling, explaining, and demonstrating such lessons with all of the heads in front of them. If the teaching comes to life on a large screen, the students will be able to focus on instruction.
The children and I would be able to teach the class about geometric shapes, adding, subtracting, patterns, spatial knowledge, construction, and magnetism through the use of projection via Ladibug.
When I have them model and share their learning and knowledge, they would love to be able to use a Ladibug to demonstrate their strategies like a teacher and to speak through the microphone to their classmates. They would take greater pride in their work when it can be displayed so largely with a voice! A Ladibug is an essential technological tool for every classroom that creates equal access for all instantly. It helps increase focus, engagement, interaction, enthusiasm and thus learning across all academic areas. It is a simple tool that delivers big results. My kindergartners would love to have such a dynamic instructional tool in our classroom! It'll bring STEM to life on a movie theater-like screen!
