Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The individual students I teach are special because they are gifted and talented students who are intellectually gifted and will do whatever it takes to absorb the knowledge that is being offered by me as an instructor.

As an educator, I believe that all children can learn by any means necessary regardless if they are gifted or not.

My main goal and desire is to get these smart, bright, energetic, intellectual students funded and proceed on with making sure they are getting the knowledge that they deserve so that they may become the future leaders of tomorrow. I am hoping that donors choose my projects so that my students will benefit.

My Project

Our classroom has a limited amount of texts for students to access. My students' interest range from researching to investigating sharks and it is generally very difficult to stock my classroom library with enough books to fulfill each child's hunger for reading, writing, and learning. However, researching is limited because of the lack of computers.

Incorporating computers into the classroom will give my students almost infinite reading possibilities of being able to research information and to keep the atmosphere of using technology.

Students could read a variety of fiction and nonfiction texts that they would not have access to without using computers.

In addition to the access to texts, the students will learn the skills they will need to thrive in today's ever-growing world of technology.
