Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is in a very small low income farming area. Our student population is made up primarily of low income English Language Learners.
We have very low income families that send their children to our school.
My students are eager to learn and are very curious about the world around them, even though they have not had many opportunities due to their limited resources. The students love to read and often escape their daily troubles with a good book. I want to provide them with every opportunity to succeed.
My Project
The poster that I requested for our classroom will help highlight my students learning. The posters review what the students are learning in class. The posters will also make our classroom more colorful and learner friendly. I intentionally chose posters that I did not see in other classrooms. I want the students to see new and exciting educational decorations.
Many of my students are visual learners and seeing the posters with help reinforce their learning.
We will use them as learning tools and decorations. The students will be able to track their learning on the charts. It is important for us to celebrate learning victories and the charts will help us do that.
