Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach art in an extremely poor neighborhood to students KG - 8th Grades. It is the first time that many of them receive instruction in an actual art room as against to having the art teacher come to their classroom.

My wonderfully creative students have had little to no exposure to art history or different technical art skills due to limited facilities. This year we finally have a nice art room with new supplies, but no art books.

I believe that through art you can teach a child any concept for any academic subject. The ability to use literature as a teaching aide in the art classroom will be incredibly helpful in exposing my students to new ideas.

Your donation will be give me the tools to introduce my students to new artists, techniques, ideas and concepts. We will be able to discuss the Masters, study their works, learn from the best! With your help my current and future students will be exposed to the fantastic world of art history. They can take with them an understanding of how so many beautiful, well thought out historical art pieces were created and become inspired to continue developing their artistic skills.
