Welcome to my 3rd grade class. I teach in a brand new school that will be opening in 2 weeks for the 2018-2019 school year! I am eager to teach and motivate them daily to give them the best education possible.

We are going to immediately start preparing for our state assessment! This is a very important time for 3rd graders because this is the first time that they are assessed by the state. The state of Florida requires all 3rd graders to take this assessment to show accountability and it also plays a major role in our schools performance grade. I am asking that we get help in supplying our classroom with 2 iPads so that I can have a success in small group instruction. Having access to this technology will allow my students to complete their instructional software usage each day that will help bridge the gap in their learning. This donation will not only help them feel empowered in their math and science skills, but it will also help with building their confidence in passing the state assessment.
My Project
Helping supply my classroom with two iPads and cases will be so helpful in making sure that my students master their math and science standards! It is not often that 3rd graders are exposed to technology that will help them master their craft, and I use this technology to reach them and inspire! This donation will help create long-term independent mathematicians as well as provide a source for my students to complete mandatory instructional software, study for state assessments, and classwork. The iPads will be used daily for instructional software usage that is required by my school. Our principal set goals to meet the children where they are and give them each personal goals to bridge the gap in their learning. Having a 1:1 iPad for students who have IEPs will be phenomenal as I will be able to have more proximity control and have each student comfortable while learning. Having iPads will also help my students study for their state assessments. This will allow them to become mobile in the classroom and promote more independent learning.
