Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A typical day in my classroom starts out with greeting my 30 wonderful students. They come in ready and eager to learn. For many of them, English is their second language. My goal is to get them as ready as I can for their futures.

They are the sweetest and hardest-working students I have ever had.

I work in an inner city school. The majority of my students come from low income homes. We are very underfunded, and it has become extremely difficult to provide my students with even the bare necessities that they need and deserve.

My Project

These alphabet stamps, practice cards, and letter pocket chart will be essential staples in my Kindergarten class. Every day I can teach a letter to my students and they can practice identifying, reading, and writing the letters of the alphabet. My English language learners will benefit greatly from the visual and tactical experience these supplies will give them.

The first step in becoming a fluent and avid reader is by learning the alphabet. My students will be excited to learn each letter and expand their knowledge of the English language!
