This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I have a class of energetic, enthusiastic, and amazing students! Our school is a Title I school where most students come from low-income or poverty-stricken homes or may live in a motel. All of the students receive free lunch. Most are English language learners, while some have special needs. These students come to school eager to learn every day with big smiles on their faces, regardless of their circumstances.
Our classroom would benefit greatly from these hands-on alphabet letters sounds buckets!
The Alphabet Sounds Teaching Tubs will further assist my class in learning their letters and letter sounds with the goal of mastering them. Many of my students struggle to read since they are still learning their letters and sounds. When practicing their letters and sounds, my students will find it helpful to have visual concrete objects for each letter. Our classroom will use this resource during centers, small groups, differentiation groups, and 1:1 instruction. When you make learning enjoyable, students are more likely to enjoy it. Learning is always more fun with a little play!
