Help me give my students new and different art materials (like fingerprint, tissue paper, color ink pads, and crayons) to explore and experience for the first time.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our children have a high interest in learning. Students come from high poverty neighborhoods, which results in a large percentage of free or reduced-price lunch recipients. Our children are beginning to learn how to become life-long learners.
My students love to create with new materials, especially paint.
My students love to try new things this year especially with their hands. They love to paint and create new things.
I love providing my students with new opportunities to create and explore with their hands and minds.
My Project
These new art materials will allow my students to use their creativity. They will be able to explore these materials in many different ways.
My students will be able to have choices on what art materials they would like to experience.
They will be able to use their hands when they want to use the fingerpaint. They will be able to also use their hands with the foam paint.
My students will be able to use different mediums with the stamp pads and craryons. Some children have never used stamp pads and can create new and exciting pictures. They can use the texture pads to create depth into their creations. Of course we'll need card stock and a variety of papers for our new art supplies as well.
