My students come from a very diverse background. Being located in an agriculture community the Central Valley of California brings many different types of students together.
My students come to school each day eager to try new things with a growth mindset both academically and scarily.
Every student in my classroom enjoys learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best at vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, small group work, independent work, and a variety of learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group of kids, and I am so grateful to be a part of their lives for their year in third grade!
I have about 500 books in my 3rd-grade classroom library. However, I do not have anywhere to store the books for my students!
Often times my books become a mess in my classroom library because there is simply not enough storage space for all my books.
I have a lot of books that I end up putting in storage because there is nowhere to store them in the classroom. My students are missing out on building their reading skills and missing out on great literature because I can not store books in my classroom!
Having bookshelves and storage cubes in my classroom will allow me to bring out more of my books that are currently in storage so that students will have the opportunity to read!
