The buzz of happy, excited fourth grade learning fills my classroom every day. I am so fortunate to teach an inquisitive group of students who love working together.
My class represents a diverse population of learners who come from different backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences to learn together as a community.
My students are 21st-century learners. They love learning collaboratively and with technology. I am constantly amazed at the technological skills they possess...they are so adept at applying their digital knowledge with their learning.
My Project
My fourth graders absolutely LOVE using our Chromebooks! As their teacher, I strive to incorporate technology into all subject areas, so they can use their digital strengths to enhance their learning. From math presentations, to interactive science diagrams, to published stories, and so much more—my students love tech!
I want the use of technology to be fluid in my classroom—for my students to be able to take a Chromebook easily whenever needed, as a natural tool for learning.
The only problem?
We don't have adequate storage for our Chromebooks. We often end up with a tangle of computer wires and Chromebooks not properly charged...taking precious minutes from our learning time.
My students would greatly benefit from a charging cart for Chromebooks. This cart would not only enable them to get their laptops in a moment, but my students would also be able to store and charge them so easily.
A charging cart would enable my students to take ownership over their learning, as they access and manage the digital tools they need throughout the day.
