Picture a classroom where all students are going on adventures, being researchers throughout the world, and detectives in search of tricky words-this is our classroom! This year I am blessed to teach these students how to read and what it is like to fall in love with reading.
I have 18 first graders who have built their reading lives as strong, well-rounded readers, but need your help!
Their determination to do this as well as respecting other's reading work in our classroom, makes me love what I do more and more every day!
My students need book bins to store their reading materials and a center to store those bins. My students have learned how to take care of books and the importance of doing so. Right now we have cardboard magazine holders for our books and they are absolutely destroyed (a true testament as to how much we love reading). It is a constant problem for our classroom-books falling out, boxes falling off desks, and materials are constantly unorganized due to the lake of a good home for our books and bins. These materials will provide my students an organized place for all of their books and boxes, as well as a space that reflects their own classroom library.
