Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are the greatest group of five and six year-olds. With high energy levels and enthusiasm, my class always comes to school so eager to learn. My class is very diverse with some families being more fortunate than others.
The twenty-five students in my class have varying walks of life, but together, we have created one community.
Kindergarten is often my students' first year of school. It is so crucial to build their excitement toward learning and encourage them to achieve great things in the classroom.
My Project
Students learn best through hands-on experiences to practice skills taught on a daily basis. This year students will participate in guided math centers during our math block in order to reinforce skills taught. Kindergarten math sets such a foundation for future learning. The requested shelving will help to create a home for all materials to help keep them in the best condition for future use. These materials will help to ensure that the math and stem resources we currently have stay in the best shape for future learning and future groups of students. The supplies needed are some basic necessities to help ensure our supplies are kept in tip top shape! The goal is for students to have positive hands-on experiences to help instill a love of learning about numbers and mathematical operations.
