Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am having a blast teaching math, science, coding, and AVID to my incredible sixth graders this year! These are my favorite subjects, and I just love this age group. My students are enthusiastic about learning new things and are full of energy!
Our school has a spectacular staff and incredible community support.
Even though we are located in a low socioeconomic area, it is clear that parents want the best for their children by their active involvement.
My students face many daily challenges, as many come from foster homes or might be experiencing homelessness. However, they always come to school with dazzling smiles, ready to have fun learning!
My Project
I have a fantastic group of 6th graders this year! They really keep me on my toes with their stories and sense of humor. I couldn't be having more fun!
Through the use of DonorsChoose and the help of many amazing contributors, my classroom is a special place to learn.
We have a wonderful selection of seating options that my 6th graders just love. However, backpacks are often left in the walkways or fall over, creating a safety issue. Therefore, I am requesting these large bins to have at every table in which to store their backpacks for the class period. They will allow all of us to move about the classroom safely and with ease.
