My classroom consists of twenty four 3-5 year old students. I teach at a Title I school. I have a diverse classroom and have special needs students with a variety of needs integrated in the classroom setting.
In my classroom, we learn through play and discovering the world around us through active exploration.
My students love to investigate and learn through play. Preschool is the foundation of learning and my goal is to foster a love for school in my students.
One of my students favorite play center is the Kitchen. In the kitchen my students discover and learn. They pretend to be a chef, create a master piece dinner, or a snack. They use their imaginations to create a restaurant or grocery store.
These supplies will provide my students with healthy options to play with, discover and learn from.
All my students come from low incomes homes. In the classroom I try to teach students healthy options for food. These are choices they do not often see at home.
One of the students favorite activities is bringing their teacher a snack or a coffee.
