My students need a Rower, an Exercise Bike, a Cardiostride Treadmill, and an Air Elliptical to aid in their cardio and strength training.
This project expired on June 20, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Our school serves students in grades K-5, many of whom are from low income high poverty families. These students receive free or reduced price breakfast and lunch each day. Many students receive backpack food on the weekend. Our school provides a safe, positive, and exciting learning environment for our students.
My students love to move when they enter the gym!
They are motivated to stay active and excited to work cooperatively with their peers. With the appropriate equipment, we can ensure that all students remain active!
Many of my students do not go outside and play when they are at home; therefore, when they are in school, I need to find many different ways to motivate my students to stay active. The Rower, the Treadmill, the Elliptical, and the Exercise Bike will all serve as great tools to help my students improve their cardio and strength training.
The donations from this project will not only show my students how important it is to strengthen their heart and muscles, but it will also serve a dual purpose to reduce behavioral issues.
Students who are physically active, feel good about themselves, which in turn leads to positive behaviors and improvements in academics.
My goal is for my students to get excited about exercise and by adding these tools to our fitness stations, I know that my students will show enthusiasm and focus when it comes to the importance of working our heart in order to lead a healthy lifestyle.
