Help me give my students a greater sense of peace in the classroom. Many of our students have traumatic homelives and/or histories, and we have seen a greater sense of calm in the classroom with essential oils.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school has a supportive environment for our students. We have a unique community of students from a vast array of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Some are zoned for the school, and others attend through our performing arts magnet program. The school is located in a low income neighborhood, and many of the students are eager to learn. Our classroom, specifically, is co-taught, and has a significant number of students with learning disabilities.
Our students overcome challenges everyday.
They crave structure and consistency. They are eager to learn, and when given the opportunity will prove better than many expect of them!
My Project
These essential oils will assist in overall health and wellness, helping combat illness and supporting attendance. These oils will also assist in focus and attention, as well as helping with calming. The students will use the diffuser and oils in multiple ways. Research shows essential oils enhance learning, focus and all around atmosphere in the classroom. For instance peppermint is known to increase attention and focus. Where Lemon known to disinfect the air, so students will be able to stay in school without getting sick. The breathe blend is for those students who come to school even when they are sick. The peace blend has shown the ability to calm and relax students, while lavender will help to calm and aid in releasing anxiety for students..
They will improve concentration, cut down on the spread of germs, enhance memory and reduce hyperactivity the rest of the school year!
