My students are a group of young artists! They love art, science, social science lessons, hands-on activities, exploring and creating unique artworks with words and ideas. There are 40 wonderful second graders in my dual language classes who spend half of their day in an English-speaking classroom and the other half in a Mandarin-speaking classroom. They love creative math lessons and hands-on STEM activities. They work very hard every day and study all subjects in both languages according to Common Core Standards, as well as Next Generation Science Standards.
My Project
Ever since I started teaching, I have tried my best to provide a clean, healthy, and welcoming classroom for my students. My lovely second graders have also learned to maintain cleanliness in our classroom by voluntarily picking up trash and cleaning after themselves. Cutting and pasting is an essential activity in second grade, and my students are always making books, art projects, vocabulary cards, etc. nearly each and every day.
The vacuum cleaner could help us pick-up small pieces of paper and dust from the floor, and help to better clean our classroom carpet; in order to provide a healthy classroom environment for my students.
Additionally, my students love painting, the cleaning sponge would help erase the paint marks from their desks, chairs, and clean spills on our tile floor.
When students appreciate the importance of a clean and healthy classroom, they will carry this idea to their homes and be more responsible in helping their families. Thank you very much for your consideration.
