My Students

Despite the many challenges, my students have to overcome before and after school; they come to school ready to learn and give me their best! They can't wait for the day to begin. The excitement on their little faces immediately gets me excited to start the day!

I teach 17 very enthusiastic and eager learners in a low income/Title I school.

I have a combination classroom with first and second graders. They are very unique individuals and have a lot to offer. The compassion they feel for one another is so touching. I want to give my students every advantage so I can to build a strong foundation in their education and life!

My Project

Learning number sense is a life-long mathematics skill. Getting the ETA hand2mind Daily Math Fluency Kit will help my students achieve this goal.

The math fluency kit will develop confident mathematicians!

When students gain confidence with the basic mathematical processes it allows them to feel success. Once the students have gained confidence through success, it will open many more doors for their learning. Students will gain success in more complex mathematical processes.

This fluency kit helps lay the foundation to successful and confident mathematicians. Students will be so grateful for the chance to gain number sense foundation which will gain many more opportunities in learning!
