My Project

One activity my first graders look forward to every month is book club. The children get to bring their reading buddy (stuffed animal) and we read a story together and do different activities centered around the book. Then the children get to add this book to their home library to read again and again. One of my favorite books to read in February is, "Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch!" I would like to share this book during book club with my eager little readers. I know they will love it just like I do! We will write notes of appreciation and give to different people who work in our school, because a simple note to Mr. Hatch made all the difference in his outlook on life.

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis said, "There are many little ways to enlarge your child's world; love of books is the best of all."
