A Good Night's Sleep For Every Child

My students need warm sleeping bags and personal hygiene products to help them get a good night's sleep, to be successful now and in the future.

My Students

Our students are bright, eager kids, from a wide variety of ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds. What they may lack in cultural experience is made up for with tenacity and inner strength of character that make each of them unique. They have goals and dreams for their futures and the perseverance needed to make those dreams into realities. Growing up in our small, rural community, most of them know more about farming, hunting, and making the most of what they have than their city cousins. Many of them also know more about living in rural poverty than most.

My Project

Families in poverty struggle to provide the basic necessities, and many of our students know all too well that even taking care of themsleves and getting a good night's sleep can not be taken for granted. They come to school tired and are expected to learn along side their peers.

This grant project is designed to give these kids a warm place to sleep and the supplies they need to care for themselves.

By providing them with a sleeping bag and toiletries, we hope to offer these young people a chance to improve their lives now for the future.
