My students need these books for a new reading curriculum we will be starting for the next school year. We use these books for reading comprehension and a variety of reading skills.
My students are full of questions, energy, and enjoy hands on learning. They are 5 to 6 years in age, and love to learn about new things each and every day. They are not only learning academics , but also social, physical, and mental skills as well. Their faces are full of joy when they learn their letters and sight words, and when they discover how to become a reader. They let their imaginations run wild and love to get lost in books.
My Project
These books have been chosen specifically for my classroom to enhance their learning with our new reading curriculum. I love to read to my kids. I read on the carpet, in small groups, and one-on-one to promote student growth. My students love our classroom library, and more importantly enjoy learning to read through a variety of stories. They have a reading corner in which they read to self or with a partner. These books would allow my kids to enjoy colorful pictures and story telling through a variety of methods. They will also learn many important reading skills, such as, retelling and sequencing through some of my favorite stories.
