I am a 4th grade teacher in a small, rural town. I have 25 amazing students who are full of curiosity and excited to learn. Living next to a reservation, we have a large population of Native Americans, as well as Hispanic students.
We love and embrace diversity.
I am fortunate to work with students who love to learn and want to be at school. Being a teacher is fabulous! I love having the opportunity to work with children and hope to excite them to be at school each day.
My Project
We live in a very diverse demographic area. Over 50% of my students qualify for free and/or reduced lunch. As we transition to a 4-day school week, the days will be longer. To keep their imaginations going and their brains learning all day long, they will need a snack in the morning and/or afternoon.
Our days will be rigorous trying to get the curriculum in.
Full stomachs will help my students to be able to learn from morning until they go home late in the afternoon.
Individual water bottles at each students desk will help keep distractions to a minimal. Learning will be more productive.
