My students need their basic needs met each morning. Having items that allow students to clean themselves and start fresh each morning is life-changing!
My school is located in downtown Indianapolis. It has a high percentage of children from low-income families. It is a fully funded Title I school. Being a teacher in a low income and high poverty area, my students come in at a disadvantage and farther behind than other students in more affluent communities.
Many times my students' basic needs are not met when they arrive to school.
Our school provides free breakfast each morning for every student, as well as a daily healthy snack-- this allows them to be nourished to start the day off right!
My students are excited learners. They crave knowledge and constantly are seeking more. My goal is to instill in each student to be a life-long learner!

With this funding, my students would have accessibility to washing themselves with baby wipes, brushing teeth with a fresh toothbrush and toothpaste, as well as have access to any first aid materials that are constantly being used to treat small cuts and scrapes.
When my students fee safe and loved they are able to learn and be excited about learning something new!
