A fraction, a dime, and a moment of your time. This is all my students need to have a hands-on understanding of fractions. My students need some fraction tools to help them better grasp this concept of equal parts.
My school is a high poverty school in a very low socioeconomic area.
The parents of my students have had little education themselves and struggle to help their children with homework. My students work hard and need every opportunity to succeed. I believe that hands-on math tools with make learning fractions a much easier task!
My Project
My students will learn that fractions are equal parts of a whole. They will have visual aides to guide them and hands-on activities to deepen their understanding. With these tools, I will be able to run small group centers, partner activities, and whole class lessons.
