My students need fraction manipulatives to help them understand this abstract concept.
This project expired on January 7, 2013.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
A fraction, a dime, and a moment of your time. This is all my students need to have a hands-on understanding of fractions. My students need some fraction tools to help them better grasp this concept of equal parts.
My school is a high poverty school in a very low socioeconomic area.
The parents of my students have had little education themselves and struggle to help their children with homework. My students work hard and need every opportunity to succeed. I believe that hands-on math tools with make learning fractions a much easier task!
My students will learn that fractions are equal parts of a whole. They will have visual aides to guide them and hands-on activities to deepen their understanding. With these tools, I will be able to run small group centers, partner activities, and whole class lessons.
Please help me help my students!
Your kind donations will make math less confusing for my students. Hands-on tools illustrate and give depth to an abstract concept like adding 1/2 and 1/4. Thank you for your time and for reading my project, please consider donating to us!!
