Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is located in the Bronx, where students are as unique and special as they come. Different backgrounds, varied interests, unpredictable home lives, and educational performance levels call upon us teachers to give it all we got! I currently teach as a special education teacher in the 5th grade.
My students keep me giggling and on my toes consistently, and I do my best to ensure they have materials and experience that assists them to learn and succeed.
I hope with the help of others, I can gather the resources needed for my classroom.
My Project
Having the opportunity to work in any part of the classroom is exciting. With flexible seating, students have the chance to learn in a fun and comfortable way. Students get excited when they have a choice of seating. When working in a small group table, students can sit more comfortably and have easier access to complete turn and talks with their peers.
My students will benefit from having a learning environment that allows them to sit and learn where they choose.
With the help of flexible seating, my students can work in small groups, independently or with a teacher while being in a comfortable space.
