A Fit that's Just Right

Help me give my students some appropriate adjustable tables . Children come in all sizes and if I have a child who is too tall for the table I have no way to comfortably accomodate that child .

My Students

Most of the children in our Pre-K class are not native English speakers. We have children who have not been exposed to educationally rich environments or who spend a majority of their time with their non-English grandparents or babysitters while their parents are at work.

We strive to provide meaningful experiences that will enhance, extend, and promote an educationally rich environment for our children on a daily basis.

We find that we are in need of more materials than our budget allows due to materials being used, worn, lost, or broken by children. We love our children. In keeping with the early childhood education guidelines of ECERS, we respectfully put forth the following list of needed items. Your generosity WILL make a difference in the daily educational experiences of our children. Thank you! We appreciate your help!

My Project

I am asking for some adjustable tables for my classroom. Right now the tables that we have and the chairs do not match insofar as height and comfort. I have tables with desks in them. Whoever matched the chairs didn't take into account the depth of the desk and if a child is too tall or too heavy they sit with their legs spread open to get as close to putting their legs under the table to sit properly.

The tables in my classroom are not able to accomodate children of all sizes.

This makes sitting at the table comfortably impossible for some children even if I use a smaller chair.

The gift of new adjustable tables would accomodate all children and enable students to comfortably participate in class activities.
