A Few of Our Favorite Things

My Project

This year, I have been working really hard on better organizing our classroom. One of my favorite things I have used is the cube storage shelves and fabric bins. We currently have two sets in the room. One organizes our morning STEAM bins and the other organizes the snacks.

I would like a third shelf with cubes to add to the room to help organize our growing collection of art supplies we have received this year.

This group of students absolutely loves art and I have been able to add all new art materials to our collection. We currently have coloring books, stamps, and Model Magic. The problem is, they are piling up on the counter and stuck everywhere, so the kids can't easily access them. These cubes will allow me to better organize them so the students can access them during our morning and free time.

Our laminator is another thing that has really helped us organize our room. I use it all the time to laminate name tags, labels for bins, reading group rotations, and labels for our book bins. Unfortunately, ours broke earlier this year, which means I haven't been able to laminate like I would like to. We have several new students who have started and I haven't been able to create permanent tags for them. Our hot glue gun also broke, which is what I use to hang many of these labels up around the room. I want our space to be organized and clutter-free for the students.
