My students need artist canvases, brushes, acrylic paint, and HP ink to enhance their art program and tap into their creativity.
As I reflect on the previous school year, two memorable DonorsChoose projects come to mind...painting on canvas and designing on the computer and printing out projects. My students had so much fun expressing themselves through these projects. I would like the same opportunity for my current class.
I am excited to once again teach third grade magnet students.
My students are enthusiastic and creative and enjoy a hands-on approach to learning. They attend school in a low income area, and the entire school is on a government funded free breakfast and lunch program. With budget cuts, we do not have a formal fine arts program. My hope is that through the generosity of KIA and DonorsChoose supporters, my students will have the same level of enrichment as given to my students in previous years.
Through various DonorsChoose projects, my former class received a large selection of acrylic paints, pallets, and canvases. They enjoyed painting like real artists. I would like to provide canvases, acrylics, and fancy brushes for my current class in order to give the children the experience of being professional artists. The HP ink will be very useful for printing colorful class projects and bulletin boards.
With budget cuts, we do not have a formal fine arts program nor the funds to purchase special materials.
What a wonderful way to enrich the arts by providing canvases, acrylics, fancy brushes, and ink for my students! Will you help us to bring the arts back to my classroom?
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
