My students need seating for our reader's workshop and a laminator for stronger longer lasting materials. They also need "pencil parkers" made from straws.
Our class is part of a rural school district. This district is centrally located within a smallish city/town in Wisconsin. Our school serves students from within the city as well as students from all over the surrounding area.
The first graders in our class love to learn and love to make learning fun and experience new things together.
We have created a wonderful little community in our room where we take care of each other and make sure we are all successful together. It would be nice to present them with something special for our classroom!
My Project
This laminator will allow all of our materials and projects to be sturdy and long-lasting. The straws will be made into "pencil parkers" that will hold writing utensils when they need to open their desks. The chairs are for more flexible seating during our readers' workshop. All of these items have been needed all year and we are excited to get these items. They will help us in our day to day procedures, our bigger projects, and when we need to get our learning materials set to go. Centers, stations, games, and materials can be laminated for longer "shelf life!"
