My Students

Our school is located on Cleveland's West Side. My Pre-K is a Head Start site, and all of the students must qualify to be in the program via the Head Start guidelines which means they are below the poverty level.

I have students from many different ethnic backgrounds.

The students of my class are 4 or turning 5 after October. They are happy, energetic and a ton of fun to be around. I get to see the world through their eyes and laugh each and every day with them.

My Project

The dramatic play area is a class favorite! I change the theme monthly to keep it interesting and fun for the children. I have chosen places the children are familiar with including a pizza shop, bakery, grocery store, veterinary office and ice cream shop. These items will add to the materials I currently have for each theme. It is important to have more than one of any of these items so that multiple children can play at the same time. I love watching the children pretending and using their imagination!
