My students need 4 ipod touches to add to our classroom library. The ipods allow us to work on American Sign Language assignments and provide peer feedback in class.
Everyday, my students come in excited to see what we are doing next. Learning a world language should be exciting and when you add technology it adds a whole new dimension. At the present time my classes can have 25-32 students, from varying class levels.
I have eager learners.
They come into the classroom ready to learn and apply what they learn. When I add in technology, they become lost in the world of American Sign Language and technology. Many of them cannot afford to have the latest Apple product and it is a treat to be able to use one in class.
My Project
These ipods will be part of a growing library I have started, at the beginning of the school year. I have been busy writing grants and proposals throughout the school year. I has been exciting to see our projects grow and expand, as we have increased our technology library. With these ipods, students will learn to have a critical eye and provide feedback to their peers when working on assignments.
My ongoing library will continue to enhance my curriculum activities in my classroom.
Students engagement will increase and their critical eye for analyzing and giving feedback will improve. Learning a world language includes skills in the expressive and receptive area. Technology will be the window into that world.
