I am currently teaching at Sunrise Middle School as a 6th grade science and reading teacher. My school is one of the larger ones in the area, but it still reflects many of the Midwest values.
The students at my school are eager to apply their knowledge and talents, and as an educator, I try my best to allow that to happen daily in the classroom.
Our students do not allow outside things to hinder their learning and they genuinely strive for greatness.
My Project
In my classroom I try to implement as much STEM teaching as I can. I love getting students interested in STEM education, however, it can be difficult to find affordable Technology items to use in my classroom. I am seeking a Dash Robot to help assist me in implementing more STEM activities into my classroom.
My students are always interested in the STEM we do STEM in the classroom as much as possible, but the biggest issue is being able to purchase the materials needed to be current and relevant.
I am hoping that a Dash Robot will allow my students to explore coding and robotics. We will use the Dash Robot to help us learn the basic of coding and how coding applies to many possible future STEM careers.
I really just want my students to be inspired to be learners that take risks and try new things. My dream is that they would possibly consider something in STEM as a possible future career.
