My students need bean bags, work organizers, and a tabletop papercenter to make their classroom library a place where they are comfortable and want to read.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Children in my classroom have a love for learning. They learn through different learning strategies, group work, and whole group instruction. I want to provide my students with the same education as any other student, and with this project you can help me do that. My students deserve to have the same materials and resources of any other student learning in Maryland, and it should not depend on where they are from or where they live. This project can help show my students that not only do I care but they have a whole community of people who cares.
My Project
The use of bean bags and organizers in my classroom is huge. My scholars have never had the opportunity to read comfortably and gain an actual love for reading. In our school community my scholars may not always have the opportunity to read at home for pleasure. To change this I plan to create an atmosphere in my classroom where scholars feel comfortable reading on their own time. Using the bean bags and organizers I can allow my scholars to feel as though reading can be a joyous experience and it can be used to visit another world and expand their imagination. Your help will not only be appreciated but you will be making an investment into our future.
