Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are ages 3 to 12 years, and they are able to access special education by qualifying under various eligibilities. Our program is developed to help them gain skills and get comfortable within a classroom setting. Each child has different skills and skill levels. Our team works hard to teach each child differently to meet their individual needs.

My Project

Our students are ages 3 to 12, and they are able to access special education by qualifying under various education eligibilities, many of our students have an individualized education plan. Some of the needs within our program consist of having different materials readily available to meet our students needs. We are currently working on a cozy area of the room, the materials we are requesting will help us create an area of comfort and calm. We are asking for floor pillows to help define the area, we are asking for sound proof pads, to help keep the area quiet, and we are asking for lights to help with a calming feel. We are also asking for curtains to be able to "close off" this area when it is not available to use. Thank you for helping us create a comfy, calming zone.
