The children in my fourth grade classroom are enthusiastic, eager to learn, and are hard working students! I work in an inclusive and pull-out classroom setting with a range of ability levels and different learning styles. They enjoy hands-on activities, multi-sensory lessons, the use of technology, and working with each other.
No matter what the challenge is, the students are always ready to roll up their sleeves and dive right in.
The students are creative team players and are becoming more independent every day.
My Project
Imagine reading a book while sitting on a hard floor or in an uncomfortable classroom chair. These are some of the places where my students sit for an extended amount of time to read each day. Some comfortable pillows and reading lamps will make reading fun and relaxing since they are eager to read in class. They get excited when it is time to gather their materials, find a quiet spot around the classroom, and dive into their independent reading books. There are a few popular spots in the classroom, like the teacher's chair. The students have expressed that they enjoy reading in the soft chairs, but unfortunately there are only a few. I am hoping to create a comfortable reading environment in my classroom for my students.
