My kinders are excited learners with a variety of interests, abilities, and goals. My students are learning to love reading and are becoming avid readers through a variety of texts. Reading is our favorite time of day and we are growing as learners though books!
In our classrooms, we grow from each other and the experiences we all bring into the classroom.
We are part of a larger school that celebrates diversity and inclusion. As my students grow as readers, we read together and experience the world around through books! As a class, we celebrate each other as readers and all of the work authors put forth to create our classroom books.
My Project
A large, cozy carpet will encourage my students to actively participate in our reading and writing lessons, as well as establish a welcoming environment to all who enter the classroom.
Welcoming environment and flexible reading corners encourage students to engage in their reading and writing while ensuring their bodies are comfortable and their minds are calm.
Establishing an environment that feels safe and cozy allows all learners who enter to feel welcomed and cared for. This project will provide my students with a place to call their own as they grow as young readers and learners.
