My Students

Currently my students do not have a rug to come to during lessons. They sit on the hard carpet. We do have shapes on the floor, but the students often tear them and try to pull them up. I want my students to feel comfortable so they can learn!

Our classroom is very active!

The classroom contains 16 boys and 9 girls. They are in kindergarten and love to learn. They also strive on structure and organization. They feel safe knowing where they sit and what our daily schedule is. They also would love having a bright and cozy meeting area!

My Project

My students will be so excited to have a rug to come together on for lessons and stories! The carpet would brighten the room and give students each their own spot to sit on throughout the day. My students will feel more like a community when they are all sitting together on a nice comfy rug!

Having a carpet for students to come to during lessons, will help with classroom management by the students each having their own designated space.

It will also be easy to transition the students when I need to demonstrate with hands on materials. Students will be able to sit on the outside letters so they all can see the demonstrations.
