Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a self-contained classroom for 3-4 year olds. We utilize researched-based, best practices to build the skills necessary for our students with to reach full inclusion.

Though at times, we face challenges bringing learning objectives too life.

This project will help us overcome this challenge.

My Project

Most of our students are from low income homes and pre-verbal. Many of our students in our classroom struggle to develop dramatic or creative play skills. We would love to build an area on our classroom for students to explore a mini "house area" were they can "make meals", "decorate a home" or "sit by a cozy fire". This piece of furniture will make our "House Area" look more like a home and give many opportunities to play creatively. Our students will benefit from having a realistic fireplace in which they can explore playing house!
