My students need a colorful classroom circle time rug that they are able to sit on during whole group lessons, story-time, and group/individual work time.
I teach an amazing group of Kindergarten students! They are so excited to come to school each day to learn and be with their friends. They are a diverse group of kids who have learned to work together as a learning community. They show improvement in all academic and social areas and continue to grow. They are always so proud of their accomplishments! I adore each and every one of them and appreciate their unique characteristics.
It is important to me that I create a positive and fun learning environment for my students.
They come to school each day and feel that they are in a safe, loving classroom. I thrive each year to make changes to my classroom so that it can be as organized and warm as possible.
My Project
In Kindergarten, we begin and end each day on a rug, and frequently use the rug throughout the day for whole group lessons, calendar, read a-louds, and science lessons. I utilize our rug for all of these things as well as a cozy place for students to work on individual centers and reading. Our current classroom rug has seen many years of student-use, and is running out of steam! It has become worn and stained over the years and our classroom would greatly benefit from an updated and fresh rug!
This beautiful and colorful classroom rug will assist my students with having their very own spot to sit each day!
They will have their very own color circle so that when they come to the rug, time will be saved as each child will know exactly where to sit. In addition, with the varied colors, I will be able to group kids by color for group activities!
