My students need a comfy place to sit when we have group lessons, story read-alouds, and time to talk with partners. This would be a bright, functional addition to my classroom!

My Students
I have an amazing group of kids who work hard and have made tremendous progress this year! I am extremely proud of them. In addition to many "typical" education students, I also have students with Autism and various disabilities that are in my classroom for part of the day. First grade is amazing to teach and the growth that takes place each year is incredible to witness!
This is an amazing group of kids and they deserve the best classroom environment possible!

My Project
We spend a lot of time sitting as a group. We hear stories read aloud, speak with partners, have great conversations, and work towards our learning targets. Little learners like to sit on the floor and be near each other in order to do this!
A cozy carpet would be comfortable for my students and look great in our classroom!
I want my classroom to feel like a home away from home and this will help. Currently, we have some foam floor tiles for them to sit on. This works, but a carpet would be more durable, last for years to come, and would be easier to clean.
