My students need a carpet with a designated spot for each student!
We are an eager and energetic class of 4th graders who love to learn!
We are a Title I school located in Philadelphia. Our classroom is our safe place where we can learn and grow together.
Even though we have a high percentage of children who may have financial challenges at home, my students come to school every day enthusiastic about learning. Many students are English language learners experiencing their first school days in a strange place. As you can imagine, this can be difficult and a little scary for many.
We desperately need a carpet in our classroom! In 4th grade, we would like to have a safe, clean and comfy carpet for group time in the classroom for morning meetings, read alouds and library time. My students would love to have their own special spot on a carpet. I would love it if my students could have a place of their own. They are confined to one spot at their table all day long.
A class rug is desperately needed by eager and dedicated students! In my classroom, we will gather together to do mini lessons, hold morning meetings, work collaboratively and have class discussions on our rug. Currently at our school we have hard tile floors so a new carpet would allow my students to sit and learn together while be clean and comfortable.
A rug would also help students to stay in one area, but also allow them to be close enough to learn from each other.
A large comfy rug would really be something my students would love, appreciate and put to great use!!
