My Students

Our public school is very diverse and lively! My students come to me from a wide range of socioeconomic and diverse backgrounds. They come with many different languages, cultures, and family experiences. Due to our large class size and a wide range of abilities, we stagger and extend our school day. That way we can differentiate the curriculum to meet the needs of all learners. I am passionate about my job. My goal is to meet all my students' needs academically and socially.

My Project

My students need a comfortable place to read and talk. I've had pillows and bean bags in the past, but have had to throw them out due to lice and illness. A couch that can be wiped down and disinfected daily is a game changer! No more worries about contagious childhood illnesses and critters. The children will use the couch every day, on multiple occasions during our reading rotations, activity time, and when a quiet place is needed. The sturdiness and high quality will make this a treasured item through many years of kindergarten classes. This couch would be used and loved by countless five and six year olds!
