A Comfortable Seat Just Can't Be Beat!

Help me give my students more comfortable chairs! All my classroom chairs are hard metal/plastic, and my goal is to replace them with padded ones. It may seem like a luxury, but the comfort makes learning so much easier!

My Project

I work with a whole bunch of wacky, weird, wonderful 8th-graders. Anyone who works with this age group knows that helping them find a sense of calm, a way to focus themselves physically and mentally can be a struggle. The rock-hard seating currently available in my room only adds to the fidgeting, and I want to be able to offer the most comfortable and effective learning environment possible.

Over the coming years (this is my first year in this building), I will be working on switching out all the older chairs with these new padded ones, which I firmly believe will contribute to a more supportive learning space for all my kiddos!

I know how much a good desk chair does for my own ability to work in comfort, and I want to provide the same for these hard-working students.
