I always like to tell my students that in our classroom they are part of a family. We all bring different things to the table. Some of us are more quiet, where others are loud and outgoing. Some students love sports and learning history and war, where others love math, or science, or reading science fiction novels.
All of our interests are different, but we still find common ground and have similarities.
Our classroom is composed of students from many different socioeconomic backgrounds. The students' upbringings, family traditions, and different cultural backgrounds help to make our classroom a unique place to learn and grow together! We are all able to contribute to make our classroom the best learning environment it can be!
My Project
The items that I have chosen for this project are all items that will be used to help furnish our classroom, or help enrich learning, in some way! There are chairsand a rug for our reading corner. There is a standing desk that will be used as a podium for both the teacher and students when they present different presentations. The office chair will be used as comfortable seating. The lights will help to create a fun ambiance for the room. Being that this is a reading class, the magnetic shelves will be used for the front board to display new books that are introduced to the students! The sticky notes will be used to display important information around the classroom and the teacher planner will be used to keep everything organized and the classroom running smoothly!
It's very important to me that students feel like they are at home when they walk into the classroom!
